Hardwood

With the warmth and richness of wood, hardwood flooring is a proven investment for your home. You can alter the feel of your home with contemporary maple or a distressed hickory.

Hardwood flooring comes in 3 different types of construction:

Solid Hardwood, Engineered Hardwood, and Pre-Finished Hardwood.

Solid Hardwood

Solid Hardwood is just one single piece of wood that is usually ¾” thick.

Engineered Hardwood

Engineered Hardwood is real wood comprised of layers of wood, like plywood, to be more stable. Wood only swells in one direction and the layers work against each other preventing the wood to move (or cup or buckle).

Pre-Finished Hardwood

These hardwood floors are pre-finished in the factory and are ready to install as soon as we pull the planks out of the box.

The advantage of pre-finished hardwoods is the strength of the factory applied finishes. They are tougher and longer lasting than site-applied finishes.

Once you determine the hardwood construction that’s best for you, then you can explore the range of hardwood styles such as:

  • Wood Species
  • Width or type
  • Stain colors
